Dishwasher / Line Cook

Edina Country Club is now hiring part-time/full-time Dishwashers and Line Cooks!!

Dishwasher

The Dishwasher plays a primary role in contributing to a well-run kitchen and is primarily responsible for properly cleaning all dishes and kitchen equipment and for keeping all areas of kitchen clean and free of clutter and debris on a regular basis. This position is also responsible for disposing of waste and recyclables in a timely manner as well as providing assistance with some food preparation as necessary. This role works in tandem with serving and kitchen staff to ensure cleanliness of dishes. He/she will need to work with a variety of personalities on a daily and ongoing basis.

Minimum Education and Experience

·         High school diploma or equivalent work experience is desired

Mental & Physical Requirements

 

·         Ability to prioritize, anticipate situations and take quick action

·         Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with others

·         Demonstrated commitment to customer service

·         Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

·         Employee may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time, to climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl

·         Must be available primarily for evening and weekend shifts

 

Line Cook

The Line Cook is responsible for working any assigned areas of the kitchen including grill, sauté or banquets depending upon area of expertise and the needs of the kitchen team. This position is also responsible for producing quality food in an effective and efficient manner that consistently meets Edina Country Club’s standards of excellence.

Minimum Education and Experience

·         Requirements include a culinary degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of two years of experience. Demonstrated culinary ability is necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Primary schedule will be the evening/dinner shift, however flexibility to work varying shifts based on banquet and Club needs including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays is highly desirable.

·         This position reports to and follows guidelines set forth by Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

·         Candidate must possess solid time management, organization and prioritization skills and maintain a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
